THE MOST REWARDING JOB YOU CAN FIND!

Each Friday, October through June, scores of dentists, physicians, surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and translators pour themselves into small aircraft at airports throughout California and Arizona for their flights to El Fuerte in the State of Sinaloa, Mexico. There, they will spend their precious off-duty weekend hours working to improve the conditions of the poor and under-served. Liga is desperately short of anesthesia providers and would welcome nurse anesthetists. We cannot do the much-needed surgeries without them. Surgeons stand idle while patients cannot get help.

Since 1934, the Flying Doctors of Mercy have been creating miracles deep in the heart of Mexico, where only the employed can afford medical and dental care. For the rest of the people, there is no care at all. Our volunteers work with modern donated equipment and tools, and know the satisfaction of literally changing the lives of those they treat.

Physicians, pilots, dentists, nurses, interpreters and others who spend just one live-changing weekend with us find that they expand their skills, confronting challenges they would never encounter at home. They practice their Spanish, and return home with just a little bit more gratitude in their hearts.
